30 Human Rights you HAVE in your hands

When we are talking about Human Right,

Everyone,

All leaders

and

all countries

said

they do give the right

to the people who deserve it

How true is this??

What are Human Rights?

Every person is entitled to certain RIGHTS simply by the fact that they are a human being.

They are "RIGHTS" because they are things you are allowed to be, to do or to have.

These RIGHTS are there for your protection
against people who might want to harm
or hurt you.

They are also there to help us
get along with each other and live in peace.

Many people know something about their RIGHTS.

They know they have aRIGHTS to be paid for the work they do and they have a RIGHTS to vote.

But there exist many other RIGHTS.

When human RIGHTS are not well known by people, abuses such as discrimination, intolerance, injustice, oppression and slavery can arise.

Born out of the atrocities and enormous loss of life during World War II, the Universal Declaration of Human RIGHTS was created by the United Nations to provide a common understanding of what everyone's RIGHTS are. It forms the basis for a world built on
freedom
, justice
and peace.

Silent and in dilemma

Sometimes in this life we tend to ask repetative questions or "stupid like questions" so that we can starts or just to break a silent in an occasion or  when meet people we know or you were being there with them for couple of minutes without any conversation with them.

You feel like you want to start the conversation and yet you really don't have any idea what to say or because someone already asked the question just before you. It is not the actual answer you are really looking for but it is just something that will led you to talk or hear something from the person.

You don't really pay attention what is the content of the answer saying back to you while you are asking yourself why you asked that question when you know or feel weird with the question you just asked...

Is this a normal phenomena or it only happened to some of us? or only me?

Sometimes it is funny but it happens many times in this life... like it is acceptable for us to do that. But you know you have to change this...to be a better person in this life.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And even sometimes we want to say something to a person or to be specific to inform them about a situation which you know it will hurt the person feeling. You know it is not your fault but you still have a feeling like you are the one who turned the person to be unhappy or sad You feel like you are the one to be blame for what had happened.

Or do you need to hide the real situation and just let them know themselves?

Maybe you feel better at first but your brain keep on thinking what might happen to the person if the person don't know this forever or the person only know this when it is too late to take an action.

Then once again you are in dilemma either to tell or not to tell... Finally you asked for help or guidance from friends what you should do but at the end you noticed without taking any action is already an action from you....

At the end, you hate yourself to be in that position and hoping it will not happen again in the future :)

Horseshoe Crab - a non crab species

"The horseshoe crab is a 'living fossil' : forms almost identical to this species were present during the Triassic period 230 million years ago, and similar species were present in the Devonian, a staggering 400 million years ago"

Locally (In Brunei) they are known as Belangkas or Imi-Imi...

Researchers from the Manitoba Museum have discovered a fossil in 445 million year old rock (picture at  left).

The horseshoe crab or Atlantic horseshoe crab (Limulus polyphemus) is a marine chelicerate arthropod. Despite its name, it is more closely related to spiders, ticks, and scorpions than to crabs. Horseshoe crabs are most commonly found in the Gulf of Mexico and along the northernAtlantic coast of North America. A main area of annual migration is Delaware Bay, although stray individuals are occasionally found in Europe.

The other three species in the family Limulidae are also called horseshoe crabs. The Japanese horseshoe crab (Tachypleus tridentatus) is found in the Seto Inland Sea, and is considered an endangered species because of loss of habitat. Two other species occur along the east coast of India such as Brunei and Malaysia  :Tachypleus gigas and Carcinoscorpius rotundicauda.

The extinct diminutive horseshoe crab, Lunataspis aurora, 4 centimetres (1.6 in) from head to tail-tip, has been identified in 445-million-year-oldOrdovician strata in Manitoba.

Two new species of horseshoe crabs identical to those lived 400 million years ago was captured in 2003 by the deep see scientific submarine Voyager of University of Higashi Osaka in Japan (Picture at right).

"Enzymes from horseshoe crab blood are used by astronauts in the International Space Station to test surfaces for unwanted bacteria and fungi"

"Hospitals sometimes use extracts of horseshoe crab blood when diagnosing human bacterial diseases and checking for toxins in intravenous solutions."

Dolphin massacre in Taiji -Japan

The shocking video below is not something new- in Japan...

We are so proud with Japanese culture, tradition, food and some of us even proud of them more than their proudness to their country but we are so in shock with this hidden video which shows the truth, what Japan is hiding from the world. Can you imagine yourself entering a place where Dolphin logo, dolls, key chain and etc shows and sells in massive. Isn't it suppose to be showed how lovely they are to this creature? But this was not the case in Taiji, Japan. They do it just on purpose to cover their activity from being known by the public and the world.

The Dolphin massacre happens every years in Japan alone. It seems normal to them to kill this intelligent creature. Don't the oceans surrounding their country have enough supply for them? Or it is fun to kill dolphin because they know everyone love dolphin except them. Yes i know it is only some of Japanese are killing this creature.

To hide their activity, in Japan's market, Dolphin meat is only label as whale meat.

Few months ago a film "The Dove" was broadcast to some cinema in the world, to show this hidden inhumanity activity to the world. Lets the world know it, let the world judge this.  Can we just deny and ignore this inhuman activity?

Is this what they want to shows to their children

"Grandpa, is that you in the film, killing the dolphin?"

"Mama, this morning my teacher asked me what is the special dish I ever eat in my life? I said "whale meat". You know mama, everyone looking at me with shock! then the teacher told me the massacre happens every year in Taiji, Japan, where dolphins are kill and the meat then sells to public and labelled as whale meat. I cried infront of everyone. I didn't know that you cook me dolphin meat  mama!! , I hate you mama!!"

"That the Japanese people don’t know that the largest slaughter of cetaceans in the world -- 36,000 a year -- is taking place in their own waters, at Taiji, Iwate and Futo; and they don’t know that the Japanese people are hated around the world for this." - http://www.japanfocus.org/-David-McNeill/2306

Meteor - General information

Just want to share with this YouTube video.
The video was captured in south Africa on 21st November 2009.

As you can see how bright light can be produced by the very fast moving meteor rock which enter the Earth's Atmosphere.

For your information, if the speed of the meteor is lower than 11km per second  the meteor will not only enter our Earth's atmosphere but will hit the earth surface too. (Please refer to the left hand side formula - Escape speed of particle from Earth) For a particle to escape from Earth gravity attraction, the minimum speed the particle must have is 11km per second no matter what mass the particle has otherwise the gravity from earth will trying to pull the particle towards the Centre of Earth. (same principal with the rocket fired from Earth - 11km per second needs to be achieved by the rocket to resist the Earth's gravity force of attraction) resulting the particle ( in this case meteor to deflect towards the Earth)

* 11km per second mentioned is the speed of particle. Since Earth is also revolve is ellipse, we need to consider the speed of meteor with respect to the Earth velocity as well, either the particle (in this case meteor) is moving towards or away from the Earth velocity in the ellipse direction around the Sun ( it could be either 11 + 30 or 11-30, depending on the direction of meteor's velocity).

** 30 km per second is the speed of Earth revolve in ellipse and sun become one of the center of rotation of the Earth.

In the above video, we don't know either the meteor is just passing through the Earth Atmosphere or will also hit the earth surface.

Maybe you are wondering why a bright light is produced when the meteor enters the Earths atmosphere. As we know Earth's atmosphere is made up of Nitrogen and Oxygen, we might think the friction of the Meteor with the air cause the meteor to get burned... However this is not true and wrongly thought by a lots of people, the reason why light is produced is because of the fast moving meteor will cause the air in front of the meteor to get compressed and heated up, resulting the Meteor to get burned. That is also the reason why you do not see burning meteor in space as their is no air present in space hence no air compression can occurs and no light will be produced by the moving meteor.

-

The 1st semester break is just started. The past four months was really challenging to me as I started back my life as a student after leaving it so long since November 2006. It was hard and really makes me to think triple and more to recall what I have learned before in my previous form 6. I almost forgot how to do differentiation, integration, even simple stuff in chemistry such as Mole calculation or chemical formula.

Sometime I have to stay all the night just to finish some reports which were supposed to be easy and not a time co

nsuming but leaving a school for few years really affect my performance. Thanks to god, my effort and never ending supports from family and friends give me extra power and energy to go through.

I am so thankful to God for giving me opportunity to pursue my study to this level. The working experience I have in two local banks really made me appreciate my study. I cannot deny that sometime the hardness in understanding what is being taught really make me to think either is this the course I want to take for the next 3-4 years? , Is this the career I really one…Can I see myself in the next 10 years from now with the job I want? Finally I find the answer, yes...

I know it is really hard to know either what you are currently do is really what you want to do in the future. I know some people pursue their study in certain field so that they will end up with

highly paid job or their parents ‘influence’ them to take that course. Even there are some of us taking certain courses just for sake of fun or that are the best they can do with the qualification they achieved or because they doesn’t know yet what they want to be.

But it is true that to make a decision for the future is really hard, sometimes you know you want to do it but you just don’t have confident and doesn’t really sure the details of the job you want. You know the basic but yet basic doesn’t really reflect the actual activities of the job…

Brunei Singapore Exchange rate - non 1:1 ?

On November 21st, I did some transaction with the paypal, In the transaction I selected SGD as my transaction currency.
Since my credit card is in Brunei Dollar, paypal has to convert my transaction to Brunei Dollar first before I can made the payment. (there is no option in paypal to straight away to choose BND currency)

But it was funny to notice the transaction rate which was supposed to be SGD1.00 to BND1.00 was happened to be BND1.00 to SGD0.973454! I never know that our Brunei dollars is kinda cheaper than Singapore dollars!!

"A currency interchangeability agreement was established between Singapore and Brunei Darussalam, which remains in effect till today and continues to play a central role in relations between the two countries. This agreement allows both countries to interchange their currencies at par without either country running the risk of currency exchange rate fluctuations and thus further facilitates trade and commerce between the two countries. The individual currencies are acceptable as customary tender when circulating in the country in which they are not legal tender." - http://www.finance.gov.bn/bcb/bcb_index.htm

I wonder where does paypal get the non 1:1 exchange rate of Brunei to Singapore dollar ?
